Set your puppy up for a lifetime of success with Puppy Power classes! Our classes focus on socialization and foundation skills.
The American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavopr emphasizes the importance of careful socialization before puppies have been fully vaccinated. Read their position statement.
To attend class, puppies should have received a minimum of one set of vaccines at least 7 days prior to the start of class and a first deworming. Your puppy should be kept up-to-date on vaccines throughout the class. Proof of vaccination is required to attend class.
Our socialization activities will help your puppy explore and experience new people, dogs, objects, surfaces, and noises. Our goal is to develop a confident, resilient, optimistic puppy who feels safe and comfortable in the world.
The foundation skills we teach to you and your puppy include focusing on you, loving her mat, responding to his name, hand targeting, and more. We will also talk about housetraining, crate training, and how to prevent fearful and aggressive behaviour.
