- BC SPCA Animal Behaviour Science Symposium. Two day in-person conference, Vancouver, BC, June 2018. The art and science of animal behaviour modification and animal welfare focussed on the theme of canine anxiety.
- Safety and Defensive Handling with Aggressive Dogs, Michael Shikashio, CDBC and Trish McMillan, MSc, CDBC, CPDT-KA. Two-day in-person workshop, Sequim, Washington, October 2017. How to safely work with dogs with a history of aggressive behavior using proactive planning, defensive handling techniques, and leash handling skills.
- Empowered Puppy Raising, Grisha Stewart, Animal Building Blocks Academy, Online self-study course. Twenty-five lessons that cover essential skills for puppies and their human families with an emphasis on socialization and cooperative care.
- TAGTeach, TAGTeach International. March - April 2015 online. TAGTeach is a relatively new and innovative way of teaching based on positive reinforcement principles. A "tag point" is marked to indicate success. Find out more at www.ta, gteach.com.
- Professional Dog Trainer Program, Karen Pryor Academy for Animal Training & Behavior. May to December 2014, online and four in-person workshops with instructor Terry Ryan. An extensive educational program that culminates in a detailed assessment of technical knowledge and hands-on skill teaching pet owners and training pet dogs. Successful candidates must earn the equivalent of an A on each component of the assessment process. I graduated with distinction in December 2014.
- BAT 101: Introduction to Behavior Adjustment Training (BAT), Grisha Stewart, Fenzi Dog Sports Academy. Six week online course February - March 2015. BAT is a method of working with dogs who demonstrate reactivity or aggression from fear or frustration. BAT focuses on adjusting the behavior by giving dogs an opportunity to practice being relaxed and comfortable around other dogs, people, or other "triggers".
- A Weekend with Ken Ramirez. Two-day in-person workshop, Burnaby, BC, October 26-27, 2013. Topics included reinforcement strategies, handling animal mistakes, concept training, among others.

- Maintenance Massage for Small Animals, Northwest School of Animal Massage. Six month course with week long practicum which I completed at the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah. (July 2012) Course is designed for practitioners of small animal massage. Content areas included: Behaviour and handling, anatomy and physiology, kinesiology, massage techniques, and first aid and CPR.
